After working at a hagwon several years, high school classes are a lot different. It seems I only teach a certain class once a week unlike hagwons where I saw same students 3-5 times a week. Is this normal? Anybody else see their students once a week? I might have to adjust my teaching curriculum if thats the case. Confused

yes thats normal. In a given week I teach 800 students and 1100 in total (my second grade high schoolers are on a two week rotation) So I only ever teach the same class at most once a week. As far as I know all public schools are liek this

I've got 200 students at each of my MS and HS. I see them all once per week, with the exception of my 1st grade HS who I see twice, but I think that's the exception rather than the rule.

Welcome to PS. Use your 45-minutes wisely young jedu.

Yep, normal. I teach 20 different classes a week, 750 students a week.

Thank you all for the replies. I am glad to hear I am not the exception. Now, what do you guys teach for 50 min? I am concentrating on just conversation rather than reading and writing so what are your experiences with these weekly classes? I have 40 students per class so I am wondering how to get them all to practice speaking. Any advice? Confused

Gee, I thought you taught English to art students at a famous art university?

No, stalking I am not. If you are who I think you are, I enjoyed meeting you at the TEFL class, and hope you're doing well. That was a fun time, but man... was it HOT in Busan!

What's with the comment about teaching university students? I met you, to be sure; but you don't know who I am.

What do you know about me?
