For those who want FREE karaoke via their PCs with backup vocal and near exact instrumentals, try www.singsnap.com.

Membership is free but there is a premium membership that isn't too bad.

After experiencing this site, Korean karaoke rooms (noraebangs) will pale in comparison.

I've been into Singsnap for about a year - and they even have various forums where you can post pictures ...

Somehow I got into the "League of Extraordinary Singsnapper" with the user name "ragtime108", and it's a big contest that continues for 24 rounds - each with a different theme (like "one-hit wonders" and "mash-ups" - combining two or more songs ...

Here's my "mash-up" of "Losing My Religion" with "My Sweet Lord" ...

Here's me doing "It's My Life" by the Animals ...

And - despite lack of popular demand - here's my version of the alternative rap song, "the Humpty Dance" ...

To end this self-advertisement on a mellow note, here's my version of the of the oldie, "Cherish" by the Association (on which I experimented with adding my own vocal harmony ...)

Okay, screw ending on a mellow note - here's my version of Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl" ...
