Where are you going?
I usually just go to AIG at the airport and buy it from there. |

Not their insurance.. their insurance business is their strongest unit.
Anyway, just go to the airport and get one there. Really simply and reasonably priced. You are done in less than 5 minutes. |

Hey guys (girls),
I'm heading to Thailand in two weeks for a short 10 day vacation. I, too, would like to pick up some travel insurance.
Tzechuk,
Can you give me more info about the AIG travel insurance? Do you buy it at Incheon? Where is the booth...I've never seen it! How much is it?
Thanks! |

I am a few months behind you! I am looking forward to getting back to Thailand. I know my wife (Thai) is looking forward to getting home. I have spent significant amounts of time in Thailand. If you need any tips, let me know. Cheers! |

Losing_touch,
I do actually have a question for you. Can you recommend a good website to book domestic flights in Thailand?
Thanks |

There are many booths... perhaps you just never noticed them. There are several by the bookstore.
Your other question - you can get insurance for even a one day trip. |

Dont they sell insurrance when you buy the plane ticket to go there? Everytime i buy a plane ticket they ask if i want insurrance and its usually the best deal i can get. If i try to buy it seperatly it ends up being 4 times more expensive. |

Thanks, again, Losing_touch.
I'm going to fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, and then back to Bangkok. I'll book my tickets through one of those links you posted.
Are you moving to Thailand with your wife, or are you just going for a visit? I'm considering moving down there next July. This trip is just kind of a trial run to see what Thai life is like.
Thanks again for all the info!!!
tzechuk--thanks for the AIG info. You're right, I just never noticed the booths, even though they are likely in plain sight--with big signs in front of them!
--Safe travels, everyone. |

I don't know where we will end up. I just got to get away from here for a while. I have a lot options. Rest assured, I will be in Thailand. When it is time to work .... who knows. The pay isn't fantastic in Thailand, but the quality of life is excellent. |
