I've lived here for over a year. I like it....there's plenty of stuff to do around Cheonho. We've got Hyundai Dept. store, lots of western joints like Papa John's etc.
You're close enough to Jamsil which has Lotte World, etc. Overall no it's not a bad place to live....I've enoyed it and plan on staying here in Gangdong quite a while longer |

| It's a good place to live. I lived there myself for a year. Line 5 is not too busy and it can quickly whisk you away downtown in 40 minutes. They just built a new homeplus. It's a little North. Hyndai Dept is the shit. Oh the best part is you got this kick ass park in your neighborhood. Olympic Park. Although I hope you won't be working at either LCI Kid's club or Poly in that area. Then you are F#$! |

Where is the new Homeplus?! I'm clueless.
Oh yeah, and how could I have forgotten about Olympic Park?!? Seriously one of the best parks I've ever seen....
Also there's a go-cart and bike rental place along the river in Gangdong....perfect for this time of year! |

| I lived in Cheonho for just over a year. It's a decent area to live in. As mentioned you've got a Hyundai Dept store, an Emart/Homeplus, two cinemas, a decent gym near the station, lots of restaurants, a couple decent bars and you're quite close to Kangnam/COEX Mall, and not too far away from Myeong-dong, though the ride to Shinchon/Hongdae can be a tad of a trek at times, especially when in a hurry. Jamsil is also a decent place and nearby too. |

Take the Sangil-dong train to Gubeundari and as your walking towards exit 2 in the subway there is an entrance. Great place to shop! |

That is NOT homeplus - that is HomeEVER...
The Jamsil Homeplus... (see map) -

Lotte Station - Exit 8 - you should be standing directly in front of Lotte Gold Castle... - walk (away from Lotte - not towards Lotte - walk towards SongPa-gu Office) - you will walk across the small street that will have you standing in front of what used to be Chillis restaurant (but has now been changed into a Korean/Japanese restaurant)... look into the sky about ex-chillis you will see the Homeplus sign on top of their store..) - you just have to walk behind what used to be Chillis....
The Cheonho Homeplus... (see map)

still under construction (not sure when it will be finished - but the construction guys are working hard each day) - its right next to the Cheonho post office... (or opposite from the Cheonho police station) - or opposite the Cheonho "2001 Outlet" - which is really the Cheonho Kims Club"...
Cheonho Station - exit 3 - you should be standing on the corner where Hyundai department store is - walk away from Hyundai department store towards the corner of the next street (which has that new "Daewoo Officetel towers" and where the 1000won shops are.... walk around the corner - you should now be standing infront of the Cheonho post office.... the new Homeplus is being constructed next to the post office.... stop walking... (look across the street) - you will see the "2001 Outlet" (which has "Kims Club" downstairs and the police station next door.....) |

Your information is not up to date. Homeplus opened in February. I've shopped there. I know. it's not at Cheonho station. it's on the way to sang-gil. Second or third from last station. |

My fave is Miari, even though it's obviously a little rough. Cheonho's is great to include in the jogging route for an adrenaline burst, but it's not much for shopping and leisure.
Have you ran into the crazy guy from Cheonho lately? |
