List your favorite Korean iPod touch apps.

I like the Daum Maps and the Go Stop.

Anyone recommend a good Korean Vocabulary builder? Been looking at a few of them at the Korean Appstore, and they are pretty expensive.

I suppose skype is a favorite if I am near a wifi.

By the way, do any of you ever think the coveted iPod killer will arrive in say the next 5 years?

Read an interesting blog post that got me thinking about this.
http://www.musicplayer.me/2009/03/20/ipod-killer-or-killer-ipod/

It seems to me that the iPod is will remain on top for quite a while.

I use the American app store for now. Does the Korean have apps that the American one does not?

My favorite free game right now is "Lux Touch". A fun strategy game that kills 30 minutes on the subway rather quickly. They have an upgraded version of the game that you can buy, but have yet to have the need.

I don't know about Korean apps other than just having the Seoul subway ones and a english-korean dictionary. I tried the daum maps but it seemed really slow.

I got a load of great apps, I'm really enjoying playing flightcontrol game. drop7 and lots of word games. Oh yeah, and WunderRadio is brilliant, I listen to proper radio stations from all over the world. Skype is great.

I really love my ipod touch. It's probably the best gadget I have ever owned. I really don't see anything touching it for a good few years.

itunes is locked into your region. US iTunes can't get Korean Apps without setting up an iTunes account in Korea.

On the flipside, you could probably make a killing cloning an App, changing a few things, uploading it on a different region/country.

When I setup a Korean iTunes account on my laptop, and synced my iPod Touch to the Korean iTunes, it wiped out most of my US Apps, but loaded my Korean Apps on there. Then, when I sync up my touch with my US iTunes account, it restores my US apps and wipes out the Korean purchased ones.

It is completely retarded. Apple would be the only company that would essentially region lock the software for a handheld device. Not even Sony or Nintendo does that with the PSP/DS.

Yeah, that's silly.

I did have the Korean App store for a couple of days a while ago, but switched back to my American one.

I might have to switch over and see what apps I'm missing.

Region locking is dumb though. That's weird they do that, when they don't do it with their Mac OS that I know of.

Yeah, I got the Daum Maps on my Touch too, from the USA App store. I also got the KTX schedule app and the Korea subway app from the US store. I also paid $9.99 for the "Korean Lessons" app but it's pretty useless.

Interesting. I tried to purchase a Korean Vocabulary flashcard app from the US appstore and it wouldn't let me. I also couldn't purchase a GoStop app either.

OK, I got the Daum Maps from the USA store now too. Is it possible to change the language on it to English?

theres one called korsubway thats great. it just has the five major subway maps and it stores the content locally so you dont need a bubble to look at them.
