I got some e-mart cash back coupons in the mail (from point card use) and don't know how to use them. The last time I got them in the mail-I brought them to the cash register-and they basically said I could not use them.

I know that the Homeplus coupons can basically be used like cash and I thought these e-mart ones were similar.

So, does anybody know about these e-mart cash back coupons?

You can use points as cash but not with those coupons; You have to exchange them for certificate first.

Go to Info Centre where you got your point card and tell them to exchange them. Your ID card will be needed also. And l think it's valid by today, Apr 15.

Not to hijack... But how does the point card system work? Is it worth getting one? (IE: Decent point return for purchases?)

I've got one (go to the info desk with your ARC and say "point card hae jusayo), fill in the form, it's free. I don't know the exact ratio of points to purchase but I got 20,000 won worth of vouchers a few months ago, so maybe it's 1,000 or 2,000 won for every 100,000 spent...? Seeing it's free and I carry other point cards anyway, it's worth it for me. I also believe that sometimes you get discounts only for point card holders on some products, but I haven't worked out how you tell that yet though (if anyone knows the sign to look for let me know).

OP, I took those coupons to Yongsan Station E-mart. I had 12,000 won worth of coupons. I bought 20,000 won worth of stuff, and then went to the desk across from the entrance on the lower level (there are two levels for E-mart at Yongsan). They processed the coupons and then gave me 12.000 won in cash.

Sure it's worth getting. I only stop by Emart on occasion for small purchases (like milk) and got 17,000. Not sure how many months this was for-but heck, it's money back in my pocket so it's worth the 5 minutes of filling out the form to get the card.

Really? That's cool. They gave me cash-like coupons only good at Emart.
