|
|
I bought a tent thinking it was two-man, turns out it is one man. My loss is your gain.
Check out this video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XNUwTFiCww
And/or see these photos:

This is a brand-new Kelty Quartz 1 4-season, two-pole mountaineering tent, with rain fly. Here is the manufacturer ad copy:
| Quote: |
A simple lightweight solo tent for all seasons. The Quartz 1 comes with Kelty's patented FlyBoy anchoring system, which consists of a patch permanently affixed to the fly and a plastic clip that clamps the body, poles, and fly together into a single, unitized self-reinforcing structure (no more reaching up under the fly to attach velcro straps). Flyboy also accepts guylines to create a stronger and more stable structure.
Also features Kelty Webforce. The "trusses" at each pole sleeve intersection guide the pole through the intersection, easing set up, and eliminating any independent movement of the poles, strengthening the structure. The "tendons" on the fly, which lock stakeout points to FlyBoys, prevent any stretch or movement under even the heaviest winds.
Comes with DAC Pressfit poles. By using very tight tolerances, DAC is able to avoid gluing or crimping, which can result in failure or corrosion over time. The result is a strong, long-lasting pole.
Also features Kelty's ArcEdge floor which lifts floor construction seams off the ground to prevent water leakage. |
Reviews have said that this tent is like a forturess under 30 MPH winds, and 40 if you use high-end tent stakes (MSR Groundhog, for example).
I also purchased the footprint for under the tent, to protect it. It is still in the original packaging.
This was US$199 for the tent plus $20 for the footprint, plus shipping and customs, and ended up being over 300,000 won all told. This gear has never been used (you can tell by looking at the tent pegs...they still have their original shiny finish and not a scratch).
I'd like to get 225,000 for everything but I'll take the best reasonable offer. If you've ever looked at Black Yak or other Korean tents, you'll see that this is a really good deal for the level of quality.

| At this point, I'd be happy with 175,000 but again, best offer takes it, even if its lower. |

| Actually, two can fit. If you are both on your back, you're shoulder to shoulder, but not uncomfortably so. I put it up in my living room, and me and my girlfriend got in and laid down in it. I'm 6' and 220lbs, and she's 5' 9" and 165, and we weren't uncomfortable. So two folks any smaller than us would probably find it even roomier. There's plenty of headroom and a screened skylight which provides ventilation when the rainfly is on, and a great view of the stars when it isn't. |

| Where are you located? I'm interested, but probably at a price lower than you're looking for. I can't PM, yet, so please PM me or e-mail me at daniel.thai (at) gmail.com. Thanks! |

| Is the tent in the youtube video yours? Just wondering because the condition looks really good...how many times have you used it? Are there any stains or tears? I wasn't sure if you've posted any actual pictures of your tent or if they were example pictures. |
