ALL of the DVD's are of the street variety, those found at Yongsan, Itaewon or in Subway stations. They are NOT originals. Yes, they do have Korean subtitles for those of you with a Korean boyfriend or girlfriend.

I'm located just outside Seoul proper in Anyang on the blue line #4 at Beomgye Station. However, I do come into Seoul every weekend once or twice, sometimes on a Tuesday or Thursday as well. Southern or Central Seoul is most convenient for me, but if you are intersted let me know where you are and we can work it out.

There are 47 movies listed below. I'm looking for 35,000 won for the lot. It's less than 1,000 won a movie.

LIST:

Rescue Dawn
The Contractor
Love and Trouble
The Magic of Ordinary Days
Polar Express
King Arthur
The Lost Tomb of Jesus
Marksman
Little Children
Wallace & Gromit - The Curse of the Were Rabbit
Little Man
Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End (#3)
1408
In The Valley of Elah
No Country For Old Men
Evan Almighty
Sicko
Transsiberian
Daddy Day Camp
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Good Luck Chuck
Dirty Love
Pigs
Hannibal Rising
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Banger Sisters
The Black Dahlia
Eastern Promises
3:10 to Yuma
Starter for 10
An Unfinished Life
National Treasure - Book of Secrets
Flyboys
Atonement
Bobby
The Contract
Behind Enemy Lines II - Axis of Evil
The Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (#3)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Alpha Dog
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Burn After Reading
Be Kind Rewind
Fun With Dick and Jane
College Road Trip
Whisper
Step Up

I love these sales

35000 can get you about 17 DVDS at any street vendor, so the only way that a sale like this would be worth it ( considering travel to pick up etc) is if you had 20 DVDS that someone didnt already own and wanted to watch.

Considering the titles you have for sale, (many are OLder films, some are obscure or selctive tastes) I am not sure I like your chances of unloading them.

Just give them away man. I give all mine to my 3 partner teachers and they love me for it.

Wow, testy arent we?

Actually I work for the public board, I have a different partner teacher for each of the three grades I teach. Kind of HAS to work that way since students get two lessons a week, one with me and one with the partner teacher. There are 21 different classes.

So looks like you dont know what you are talking about in regards to my job

As for my "lame" comment, well this is Daves, you didnt expect one? Come on.

Hey like I said, youve sold some, GREAT, but i really dont think you are going to sell ALL of them in one shot, and all I did was state the perfectly obvious.

Anyway, good luck,

you clearly unloaded SO MANY OF THEM 4 months ago when you were selling 24 of the same titles in January.

HUGE DEMAND for your DVD's I guess eh, yeah my post about not liking your chances must have been so off base eh?

Can you read or do you just not understand English???

1. I posted that I had those sold and then it fell through. That's why I'm offering them again, plus more of them now.
2. I said I sold some before. This obviously means different ones. Since you looked at my old posts you would know this. If I had sold these ones why would I try to sell something I don't have now? Do you know what logic is?
3. You find the need to make two more replies to this thread. You find the need to go through my old posts for what? Seriously man, you need to get a life if you have this much time on your hands to do this stuff.
4. So what if I can't sell them - doesn't take much time to make a posting to see if it's possible.
5. Go back to your little job that you need to be watched over cause you don't have the logic or know how to do the job on your own.

Responses to your Points

1) you posted an ad in January with 24 Titles, that thread was bumped Feb 1st and that the last entry. then you make THIS post, so it took over 2 months for you to be aware that they deal fell through?

2) what the hell are you going on about? YOu speak of logic, yet this point makes no sense, I made the comment that you did not sell these EXACT titles in January when you last put them up for sale. I was saying good luck with the sale SARCASTICALLY because they didnt get sold last time,oh wait sorry, they "were sold" but the deal fell through. Not sure how that works, things are sold when the money is in your hand and the goods are out of them. I am guessing you mean " i made arrangements to sell them"

3) You should try checking my history, I have barely made any posts in months, over the last couple days I made one on my post about cheap airfares back to Canada, i made a commentary on the midgets thread, and i thought yours was funny. So i commented. I guess we should all lead the life you do and do nothing more on daves than sell DVDS and arrange ball hockey leagues.

Yep sorry i took a break from learning KOrean, running three after school programs, teaching, and lesson planing to coment to a couple threads. Clearly the 10 seconds it took me to glance over your post history takes a huge chunk of my time.

4) NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like i said, Good luck trying to sell them, if you cant take a guy saying " i dont like your chances" and saying "Give them away" than you have more issues than me. I never said you were trying to rip anybody off. I simply said i personally didn't think you were likely to sell them. The fact that you have been trying for 4 months kind of proves my point.

5) No thanks, the public school job you are so quick to knock is much better than most jobs. Perhaps you work in a hagwon, are a slave to classroom, work long hours and are unnapreciated. Maybe thats why you need 35 000 for old DVD's I dont know.

as for needing to be watched over, that is actually true, but not for the reason you are attempting to insult me with. I dont work for a hagwon, i work for the GOVERNMENT run schools. anyone without a KOrean teaching liscence MUST be teaching with a registered teacher.

As for my logic, hey pal, ive got a degree in English and Philosophy, Im confident my logic exceeds many others, yours included, especialy when your comment number 2 seems to come out of nowhere, makes NO sense and is not a response to anything I ever said to you.

Lets not forget that this thread started with me making a perfectly logical argument that you have all but proven for me. ............... that i dont think you are likely to sell these DVDs

as for my know how, Ive got three korean certified teachers who continually comment that I am the most organised, most creative, most effective, and most knowledgable Foreign teacher they have worked with so far. The principal and vice principal pretty much are willing to give me anything I ask for, and one of the programs that I run has been so effective, and successful I have been on Korean Television to talk about it.

Yep I must know nothing. Why ever did I go to school to get My English/Philosophy degree and then again for another two years to get my Education degree?

I clearly must not know a damn thing about this job.

1. Yes, there was an arrangement to sell them. It fell through. I haven't been trying for 4 months. They were posted - I got busy, I forgot about it and then got back to it when I remembered.

2. What's the point of you being sarcastic on a Buy/Sell Forum? There is no logic to do it. That's my point. Why waste your time doing it if you are so much better than the rest of us and so busy?

3. Why do I need to check your history? I could care less what you have said in the past. Why do I need to see you brag about how highly you think of yourself?

4. The Ball Hockey League you want to make fun of is now a full six team league in Seoul with over 80 members. We built this from scratch, getting sponsors and creating one of the largest organized groups in Korea. We have gone international and have received local, national and international publicity for it. We are the only one of it's kind in Asia. At least we can say we have built something in Korea that's positive for the community. If that's a joke to you then you do lead a sad existence and I feel sorry for you.

5. Well if you think your public school job is great all power to you. You probably haven't been here long enough to know that the best jobs aren't in public schools.

6. The fact that you have to keep saying how great you are is pretty sad to say the least. "I was on tv, my co-teachers say that I'm so great, I have all this education, I've developed a great system etc." How pathetic are you that you have to come on here and write all that? Is it for lack of having anything else in life that you feel the need to be a dick and brag about what you have done on a website?

Truly Sad....

Responses

1) Um, Okay

2) Do YOU understand english, read my original message, i dont see any sarcasm there. It was a pretty straight forward comment saying i didnt thing you'd sell thm. It was pretty much devoid of sarcasm.

3) I dont actually think that highly of myself, but i LOVE how you get to BASH me and say that I know NOTHING about teaching ( basically) with your snide comments, but when I affirm that I have a clue, now I'm being boastful and full of my self

oh by the way its "I COULDN'T care less"

4) Excellent for your league, I didnt make fun of IT, again perhaps you should learn to understand what people are saying.

Isnt this comment a little similar to me saying how good of a teacher I am? So you bragging about your hockey league is okay, me saying that I am a good teacher after you bash me by saying I am not, is BAD?

And you think you can teach me anything about logic?

5) There may be better jobs than public schools, but right now, in my school, with my teachers and admin, its a pretty cushy job so I will take it.

6) You say I dont know what I am doing, I am going to refute it, we call this a LOGICAL RESPONSE.

If you are going to get bent right out of shape because a guy said he doesnt think you are going to sell all your DVDS in one shot, and then go off on the guy that wrote it, and then moan like a school girl, make ad hominem arguments, and make false assumptions, then you have more problems than you think I have.

You have now wasted as much time as me on this thread when all you had to do was do nothing. So, if you wanna tell me I need a life, I will turn the comment back on you. You have spent way too much time on this thread, so get a life, because you are a hypocrite. Not that I actually condone said comment, I dont think that posting messages, whatever they are, on a message board means that you have no life. It's just as I said, if I have no life for posting, you have no life spending this much time responding.

That is yet again, another LOGICAL RESPONSE

By the way, have you sold the DVDs yet?
