Alert on Illegal Cat Trap in the Seoul area

Dear members,

The shelter has found out that some ilegal cat trap people manipulate the city's TNR program and disguise themselves as the official district representatives for TNR.
Each district(Gu) office announces on their website that which day it operates trapping as a part of TNR(trap-neuter-return) process and these notorious ilegal cat trappers trap cats the same night on a different timeline.

The ilegal traps are made of BLACK PLASTIC WRINKLED PIPE FOR THE BODYPART AND STEEL NET ON FRONT.
According to the neighborhood cat care-takers who witnessed the illegal trappers recently discribed that they were driving a small blue truck filled with the above discribed traps in the back. One man was sitting on the driver's seat and another man was collecting the traps with the trapped cats inside.

Most of these trappers sell catmeat to wholesale dogmeat sellers or sell live cats to small stores at Moran market located right near Moran subway station(pink line).
These small stores butcher those cats for meat or make drinks after mixing with some herbs upon the customer's request.
As you may know, such cat drinks are known as good for arthritis(no medical evidence there).
The wholesale dogmeat sellers from Moran supply meat(catmeat and dogmeat mixture) to dogmeat soup restaurants all over the city or nearby areas. This has been told by one of the illegal trappers.
