anyone else actually used them? I contacted them initially about potential jobs and they didn't reply for over a month. They then asked me for my phone number 3 times in separate emails from different people ....to which I replied to all 3. They didn't even call after.....waste of time.
Don't know what kind of position the OP is after but if it's public school then go through ESL-Planet, Korea Connections or possibly Korvia....they were more prompt and professional at replying to questions and emails.
Other than Flying Cows I can't think of any other British recruiter..... |

Flying cows tried to get me and my gf to work in some shitty English village that hadn't even been built and live in two separate officetels when the position was advertised as a couple job. They tried to justify it as a ground breaking experience and were really keen on getting us to start. It was in the middle of nowhere as well.
They were pleasant enough and answered a lot of questions but I think they are like any other agency and just want to fill up the bad jobs first.
In the end I got a job with a company called four distinct seasons 4ds. They had an English guy involved named Tristan. Got us a great job in an all right location with a very good apartment. http://www.teflhub.com/korea.html |

Flying Cows found me a hagwon job in 2005. I actually got to meet with one of the consultants in the UK before going to Korea which was helpful and reassuring.
One thing I would say though is that at that time, they only offered hagwon jobs and most of these were in quieter places such as rural Gyeonggi-do and in the provinces further south. They didn't seem to have anything available in Seoul or Busan which were my first two choices. |

I dealt with Flying Cows once and wouldn't really recommend them. They offered me a terrible job that I didn't want, saying that it was the 'best I could get'. It seemed that they just wanted to get the job filled rather than finding something that I wanted.
In the end I went with Korea Connections, I got a great job in a public school, and now I thank the heavens that I didn't take the terrible Hagwon job that Flying Cows offered me. My hours are less, the work load is considerably less and clearly I could get something a lot better. There are loads of recruiters out there, just because this one resides in the UK it doesn't mean that they are any better. The only bonus is that you can speak to them on the phone any time you need to. |
