This has to be one of the most pathetic piece of "journalism" I have ever seen. Granted it is in the "Entertainment" section but the amount of armchair analysis is breathtaking.

So now Hogan is a potential psychotic murder just because he flew off the handle and said how he could imagine what might drive a man to kill? Gimme a break.

What really galls me is that for some reason I can totally see these so called journalists making the exact same remarks amoung friends.

Where does one go to escape such drivel?

I suppose CNN is on a roll.
I thought this was a most hideous display of elitism, lack of class, and just plain snotty rudeness.

Gotta see the clip.

Bah! Bad journalism isn't exclusive to one station over another. This is precisely why I switched my major from journalism to communications. It's not about informing people, it's about business. What each of these networks (businesses) do is identify their primary audience and just try to keep them tuned in and entertained (see: not informed) to appease sponsors (how they actually make money).

Say what you will about the indies and the bloggers, but at least you know where they stand from the get go. None of this BSing about objectivity. Which, as far as I'm concerned, exists no where, never has and never will.

/end rant. Smile

Oh man. Don't post at 3am. Sorry boys and girls I forgot the link. The story linked above is the correct one. I'm not sure if it includes the exact video "commentary" I was referring to though as I cant watch video on my pc at work.

So just a heads up boys and girls. Saying that you could understand how someone might do something horrific and how you may have those feelings yourself sometimes actually MAKES you a pyschotic killer and possible mass murderer in the eyes of the media. Rolling Eyes

It's celebrity news, which is, in the grand scheme of things, so vastly unimportant its worth cannot be measured by the naked eye.

And, not just celebrity news:

It's Hulk Hogan news. Who the hell cares?

It's relatively newsworthy-

1)Hulk, a wrestler, freely states to 1)sympathizing with a widely accepted murderer, at least in the civil courts and public opinion.

2) throw into the mix the other wrestler in recent history who went and KILLED his wife, and son, as well as himself, believed both related to 'roid rage' and chronic concussion.

3) Not to mention the dope isn't afraid to pimp his celebrity on such stupid reality tv tripe. Like anyone could ever care about his celebutant trailer trash family if it WASN'T for the celeb. I mean, this was the SOB who was told his son to take advantage of killing his friend in a DUI case a few years ago? CAUGHT ON TAPE?

CNN may not be the Edward R. Murrow of the 21st century, not nothing is. Certainly not that trash they peddle on FOX..... :Fair and balanced...." this reminds me of the idea of "tell a lie enough times, and it becomes the truth." Just keep telling yourself that, Rupert!

Good! Got my daily slam of Fox in just under the wire! Cool
