To those of you returning to Canada this year a word of warning.
There is the potential for some serious labor problems with Air Canada begining this Summer. There is also the potential of the airline going bankrupt by the Fall if things don't work out.

It all started with a new CEO who is planning on making cutbacks to the airline.

When is Air Canada not in dire straits? Its impending doom has been a regular, intermittent news byte since the nineties.

I wanted to fly aircanada this summer, but they wouldn't take my dog.. so I am taking asiana. They lose customers for having poor customer service and old planes. :S

AirCanada has fairly new planes, newer than korean air and asiana.. but they do fly some "older" planes to ICN, which are B767-300ER.. in fact Im thinking of flying to ICN the long way round as I live in wales, im looking into flying LHR-YVR-ICN-YVR-LHR Laughing and for the dates I want to book the tickets, flying with air canada is still cheaper than a direct flight LHR-ICN with Asiana Evil or Very Mad

i love air canada. i would pick air canada over any US airlines. I absolutely hate going through USA for any of my travels. Ive never taken old planes with air canada and ive never had any problems with them but then again ive never tried to bring an animal with me.

Strange, I would have thought they older. It seems whenever I fly aircanada the flight attendants are rude, and there are never monitors on the backs of the seats.

The exact opposite is the case with Asiana, Korean air, and Singapoire air.

They deserve it. Worst airline I've ever flown on. Sorry to those of you who have to travel to Canada.

Agreed, I can't stand that airline. I try to avoid it as much as possible. I've found the staff to be unfriendly and on occasion, downright rude.

I wouldn't shed a tear if they went under.

I absolutely agree with the last three posters. Air Canada can go bankrupt for all I care.

The worst airline I've ever flown. The airport in Vancouver was very nice however. But Air Canada has a bunch of elderly women working as flight attendants and they all need to take a long nap on trans pacific flights. Don't expect anything when you fly on this airline. Also, the food sucks ass, no choice, no quality, just one shitty experience after another. It's like riding a fucking razor blade encrusted water slide down to the pool. Scrapes you red and raw but you get to end in one piece at least.

I flew AC last week and had a very nice experience. It has improved imo over the past few years.

Certainly not the best airline. Aging, not-very-friendly, and entitled staff.

Westjet has a far better attitude, IMO.
