I find stuff by Sasha is pretty good to keep the pace going.

I don't generally really care for 'trancy' stuff, although this is good, although the purists would probably call it progressive. Probably better for the headphones rather than the gym per se, although it does pick up in the second half.

Involver is SOLID for a workout. It's also a 2005 Grammy winner and one of the best EDM albums ever made.

The first track is for stretching and warming up, then picks up on the second track to get me going on cardio, levels off through the middle, and then just rocks out at the end through Burma/Cars/On My Own.

The Crystal Method's "Drive" was produced with Nike with the specific purpose of being a "workout" album, and just about any of their stuff keeps me going.

^Yeah, it is very good. I love it all, especially the couple of tracks by Grand national (Drink to Moving on is another favourite of theirs).

These three in particular are excellent, especially Burma:

RATM is always good for a workout in my book. I haven't really listened to it for listening sake since high school, but it's good, high energy, angry stuff that motivates me to work out.

Yes, perfect for cardio. Good rhythm, and it's constant and lasts over an hour if I remember correctly.

Thing is how do you hear your mp3's over the din of the PA? I tried it once but all I could hear was 'Genghis Khan' from the speakers.

PS If you haven't heard 'Genghis Khan' I can't recommend it highly enough. Historical disco in a similar vein to 'Rasputin' by Boney M. The people at the gym love it.
