I just beat mass effect, and I'm pretty close to the end of Gears of war 1.

What are you playing and what do you recommend I pick up next?

(mind you, FPS games make me nauseous, but third person shooters are fine).

I just finished Resident Evil 5 (aka Biohazard 5) and had a great time with it. I'll definitely be replaying it again soon.

It's a huge departure from the other RE games, but a lot of the mechanics are the same. Not being able to move and shoot at the same time really forces you to time your shots and save your ammo. You have to have nerves of steel.

I'm a bit backed up at the moment with Prince of Persia, Fallout 3 and COD5 on deck, but there's a lull in game releases until June so I think I'll be okay. I'm also going to dl the GTA4 expansion this week as well.

Prototype is probably going to be the game of the year. I have such high hopes!!

I'm playing Dead Space for the second time. That's how good this game is. The zero-gravity sections can sometimes be dizzying but if you have an HDTV screen you can sit far away and you'll be fine. So much fun.

Braid. It's very short (maybe 8 hours), but it's AMAZING. Seriously, I become incredibly dumb when I try to describe it. Language is useless because the experience itself is by far the most rewarding I have had with any videogame in my life time. The art direction is flawless with a depth and frailty unseen in most modern games. The integration of player interaction and game play with the theme and story is undeniably rich. There are multiple layers of meaning within the game, and, as an art piece, it can be interpreted in many different ways.

I'm sure you've heard of it so I will stop mindlessly gushing; it's received a great deal of press. It's a puzzle platformer and at the very least should break up the monotony of shooters and RPGs.

Just play it. Please.
PS. FPS make me dizzy too.

Do you play on Live? That game was built for co-op play, and it totally rocks. There's nothing cooler than plowing through a level with people who know how to fortify positions before a horde swarm.

Can't. My machine's been banned. Regardless, I'm not fond of playing online anyway. There's always an inordinate number if dicks out there to take the fun out of whichever games you're playing them in. The PKs in Diablo immediately come to mind.

That's the beauty of private games...you can select and boot people at will. They're being dicks? Kick 'em, report 'em, block 'em.

That's only happened to me a handful of times though, mostly on Halo 3. But once I've had a good round with good people they're easy to find online again.

Sucks that you got banned...L4D is one of the best multiplayer games I've played online. Rainbow 6: Vegas and COD: Modern Warfare are probably my all-time faves. Both were only about 20 hours in campaign mode, but worth hundreds of hours online.

Hasn't anyone else played played Dead Space? The game is amazing. The story makes no sense to me (probably 'cuz i wasn't paying attention), but it doesn't really matter because it's so much fun.

Another great game that I've played recently was Bioshock. I usually don't like FPS games but this one changed my mind about FPS games.

Next on the list is RE5 after I destroy Dead Space.

Maybe on Live. Not with Diablo. Nothing burned my ass more than having an ultra-high level Ironman character killed by a PK dickhead (or more likely a death squad of them). Kick'em, report'em and ban'em? Sure, but your (thousands of hours-played) character is still irrevocably and forever dead.

Left 4 Dead rarely leaves my Xbox. The update is apparently out now so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to the survival mode and other maps later. It's annoying in a way as I'm neglecting a load of other games.
