I can't go to any of the Starbucks, or make any trips downtown without seeing another ESLer.

A couple of pubs host clientele that is 99% western, including some expat engineers and programmers.

The foreign community here is much more tightly knit than that of Seoul or Busan. It's much easier here to get around and visit each other as well.

Yeah there's lots. Pretty small compared to Seoul but still lots. Anybody dare to hazard a guess. Maybe a 1000? That's excluding US military cats. A fair amount of them too.

I'm in Deagu every Saturday doing my rounds, but I hardly ever see any FTs. I've seen plenty in both Costco and Kyobo though.

Out of interest, where are the FT hangouts in Daegu? N, E, S, W, central? Any FT pubs up there that serve up anything remotely western per chance, perhaps within walking distance of the subway stops?

Holy Grill

North:
Sugar Joe's (across from Kyungbook U north gate)

Google the names + daegu for directions.

Interesting. Do the chicks dig foreigners? Just kidding. Out of curiosity, are most ESL teachers male in Korea, or are there a good number of females?
