So I got a last-minute request to plan a lesson for tomorrow, and my coteach wants me to do a role-play of the ending scene/episode of Boys Over Flowers. Don't get me started as to why I'm doing this instead of her.

Anyway, I didn't watch it and only vaguely know what happened . . . Jun Pyo and a car accident, amnesia, doesn't remember Jan Di, blah blah blah

Can anyone that saw it give me some more specs? Or, uh, go ask your Korean girlfriend? Thanks.

Okay, once he got hit by the car, he lost his memory and basically remembered everything and everyone EXCEPT Jan-di.

Another girl in the hospital was trying to take Jan-di's place. Jan-di brings in some of her snacks that Jun-pyo loves, and he starts to remember something, but the imposter says that she made it.

Later, the imposter makes some more snacks and he realizes that something is wrong, it isn't her, but kinda stays with her.

Later at a party, they annouce that they are getting married and moving to America.

Jan-di, in a desperate attempt to make him remember, takes steps backwards and falls into a pool and sinks to the bottom.

Jun-pyo begins to remember that it was Jan-di that jumped in the water and saved his life (right at the beginning of the show) and they reunite.

Later, they go back to Namsan, in the cable car where they got stuck, and Jun-pyo proposes. She says that she's too young, etc.

He says he will go to America and that she should wait for him. She says jokingly that she'll look for other guys.

Fast forward to a few years later and she's working with some kids on a beach. He arrives (by helicopter, I think) and proposes, but I think the other F3 interrupt, and they share a tender moment on the beach during a sunset.

End of show.

I'm going to go hang myself in the shower now.

The price I pay for moving in with the GF.

On the bright side, you'd be amazed how much kids perk up and pay attention in class when you design a lesson plan around the characters.

I watched this ...skipping through some of the stupid/schmaltzy stuff...

but in general, immersing oneself in what the society around one is watching is a good way to understand and try to relate with that mind...this was THE most popular drama in Korea

and I even like a few of the songs and watching the school, peer group stuff...some parts were funny...the rest is all ridiculous...

keep it light

the lead guy and the MOTHER are good actors

check out this link: it's a play-by-play of what happens with pictures. might be easier than sitting through the video if you don't have the time or inclination for that either...
