The obsession with Jade Goody really got on my *beep*. Since when has stupidity become so hip? Do the public really think it's OK to idolize morons?

Interesting thread. Glad to see most people seem to have the right idea. I'm with the hardcore conservatives/fascists. I've been over here two years and at this rate can't see myself going back to blighty. Countrie's f*cked. Life was unbelievably tougher in the UK for me then living over here as a foreigner.
The UK is in terminal decline. Past governments Labour/Tory just seem hellbent on wrecking the country for short-term objectives to appease voters. Our parent's generation done alright but there's fu*k all left for us!
It sickens me to see the way we roll over to PC'ness- biggest new labour scam going.. Why we have such a large welfare state is beyond me? Good labour voting proles?
"If you pay people to be poor they stay poor" as some American once said.

Once again I see people blaming the welfare state.

Jade Goody has been portrayed by the media as a heroine for raising awareness about cervical cancer, in spite of the fact that she forgot to have a smear test.

What if I forgot to turn off an unlit oven before leaving for work and the ensuing explosion killed my wife and three children.

Would I be portrayed by the media as a hero for raising awareness about gas safety?

Would I *beep*.

I'm never going back.

If I had to live my days out here or back in the UK - I would pick here.

I have never ever felt unsafe here - back home it is always touch and go when you go out at night - and I am a big bloke and a former amateur boxer.

None of that counts for a damn thing - I have seen good fighters and big men kicked to pieces by gangs of kids back home.

The place has gone to shit - whose fault is it? Confused

I felt safer in seoul than i did back in my home town, where I am right now, I spent 4 weeks in seoul and never came across anyone being threatening to me. but within minutes of collected my baggage from heathrow airport whilst at the heathrow bus station i was threatened by this guy who demanded i give him 20p.... you can't do anything with 20pm! Evil or Very Mad

Its OK now bassexpander - we are watching it now with America - or are you not watching the massive shoeing you are getting in Iraq.

Shoeing? Laughing Keep believing what you want to believe. The "war" there was over a long time ago. A dictator was removed, a new government put into place, and troops are now leaving. Actual losses were staggeringly low (on the US side) for a war compared to any war of equal length in the past.

A desperate suicide bomber here and there (and they are hardly an issue now) killing iraqis does not equal a lost war.

It was won. Deal with it, son. Just because you didn't like the war doesn't influence its actual outcome.

Sigh.. it's what my dad and I had always said - political correctness, the need to APPREAR to be fair and square is what's killing Britain.

Dad always said it was a mistake to let Labour in - I think he was right.
I think this is completely incorrect.

Political correctness is not limited to the UK. It is also prevalent in Australia and probably in the US as well.

Yet crime rates have been falling in the US since the early 1990s, and we certainly don't have the same level of yobbo-ism in Australia that there would now seem to be in the UK.

Maybe they need more abortion?

Though I wonder, what would the drunken clowns from the link I provided earlier (from Wales) have been doing on a Saturday night 50-100 years ago. Or has nothing changed?

Something is wrong with them.

Britain's problem is that the majority of people think there are only the Labour and Conservative parties to vote for. So we keep getting passed from one pile of **** to the other and then back to the even smellier ****s.

It's a clandestine dictatorship.

JINKS? You a Cwmbran lad? Me too. Whereabouts?

I remember Newport (the nearest city) was once the most dangerous place in Britain (no of violent incidents per square mile), it also had the highest heroin overdose in Britain, and one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the whole of Europe! It's reward? The Queen made it a city! That was almost ten years ago and I don't think it's changed in the slightest.

Very few Muslims in my hometown. If you want to see one you have to go and look for one!
