I've been trying to motivate myself to learn Korean... Unfortunately, I haven't found something that's inspired me to pick up my Survival Korean book and study. I have decided that if I meet a couple of really handsome Korean men, I might be much more eager to learn the language. My only problem is that I have no idea where they congregate. I know women often go to coffee shops, but where do the men go? Definitely not the gym (at least not my gym). PC Bangs are usually filled with high school students or old creepy guys... So where do all the handsome ones go?

Seriously? That seems like a rather odd area. I guess I'll have to do some browsing there the next time I go to a department store. How does one strike up a conversation in the "murse" area?

That's a fantastic shiny suit and pink shirt and tie combo you have...I think this gorgeous murse would enhance it even more! I'm kneezah by the way.

Done and done.

Walk up to the guy and say

The murse goes great with your flowery pink shirt and shinny pants. Oh, I love your purple scarf too.

Hmmm,

I think the problem is that good looking men don't congregate.

See, good looking women tend to have the same hobby - Shopping. Genearlly looking at makeup, clothing, or jewelry

However, men are different, good looking men usually aren't as... united (?) as women on that front.

While Asams comment is spot on, it's not like a man can be constantly be buying man bags, He's usually content with 1-3.

So handsome men are more likely to be working, at home, probably playing starcraft.

But your best bet are the ones you already guessed. The gym. I've seen some good looking men, and there are a lot of openings to talk to them. It probably has to do a lot with what times you are going and which gym you go to. I'd say pick out a gym with decent facilities and go around after 9 o clock. Most men get off of work late and if you're looking for someone a bit older, it would be your best bet. Also, pick out swimmers. They have the best toned bodies. At the same time it will give you an excuse to seduce them with your own figure.

The PC bang I've seen some handsome boys, but there is absolutely no hope of actually talking to them... Unless you know starcraft "4 pool" or "Bisu" strategies. If you were to whip out and come across saying "My build order is 5 scv 6 scv 7 supply depot, 8 barracks, etc etc..." many of the handsome nerd boys will flock to you. I've actually met such a girl and the fact she likes games makes her 4 times as attractive. She had boys on her left and right all buying and showering her with gifts.

Aww... Don't hate on the handsome Korean men. I like a guy who can wear pink. It shows he's secure with his masculinity.

Thanks so much for the helpful sugguestions Goku. My gym membership comes to an end this month. I may just have to try another gym. I generally go around 9 and it definitely is the most happening time to go. Unfortunately my gym is filled with older business men... Not exactly my cup of tea.

And I'll have to pick up Starcraft, too!~ That'll give me something to do when all my classes get cancelled...

This thread seems so funny. Can't you just go on one of those dating sites. I am sure the Korean dudes will flood your inbox with messages asking you to meet. However, take your time with them. Some of them just want to ride the white horse, so to speak, and wouldn't ever show you to their mamma, because you're not Korean. Make sure you're dating a guy who is open-minded and comes from an open-minded family.

Yea, pink's a great color for men - especially those with black hair.

Outdoor basketball courts, especially now that the weather is getting better. Best bet to find a congregation of guys in shape and potentially taller than you.

And nothing wrong with pink, i rocked a pink shirt last night. But the shiny suits do need to go...

At my gym there are plenty of guys that would be considered attractive and bloody built I wish I could get that type of definition. Try to find a gym that is a little bigger and has a good selection of weights. Start using light free weights and ask for help with your technique.

You might have to be the one to ask them out as all the girls I know that have had korean boyfriends have had to make the first move

The wife and I were talking about UBLove, a dating site where we met.

From the English side, it was "sold" as a dating/meeting site. She told me that the reason she joined it was because of an article she saw on Daum promoting it as an "English study and language exchange site." She fully expected to meet foreigners interested in language exchange. Laughing
