From his long winded diatribes I can assume he does lots of Parroting.
He seems to be hostile to any teaching method that would be remotely entertaining. for the students. I'm just wondering how he can continue to do this without making the students bored to death. |

Actually he isn't important enough for me to think about your poll. Nor would I give a damn if I met him. |

I voted other. I think he's an interesting guy. I'd chat him up about his writing and try to get a better idea as to how sincere he is. I sometimes suspect he enjoys ruffling people's feathers and being a minor celebrity, and that it's all just a bit of theatrics. He's never said anything I've been personally offended by or attacked a particular behavior I engage in that I've felt I couldn't articulately and persuasively defend and I think if the man is anything like his writing he'd make for a lively and entertaining, if slightly schizophrenic, conversationalist.
Of course I'm often wrong. |

Like any troll, you ignore him. Or if you need to counter his opinions, do so publically in the newspapers that print his vile bullshit. |

I'd listen to what he has to say, and then disagree and give my point of view.
Anything else is a waste of time.

I met the man about three years ago. I told him that I disagreed with his viewpoints. |

I'd quickly find an excuse to leave, though if he were presenting at a KOTESOL conference I'd certainly be listening with interest to see just how useless he is and watching the Koreans in the audience to see if any could catch on to him. |

I wish I could have chosen multiple answers.
I would seriously ask him about Thai whores. I can't imagine a more amusing conversation. Then I'd call him an idiot, punch him in the face and ignore him as he screamed in pain.
I'd like to ask the current published idiot about his imaginary friend in the sky and his arse raping tendencies.
These gents really are our worst enemies.
My big question is why on earth does the press choose the few people we (the collective waeguk comunity) think are complete ding bats to publish? |

Because the ding bats are the ones most likely to write letters to newspapers. As others have pointed out, the newspapers don't have an agenda so much as they will print pretty much anything anyone sends them because they don't get many submissions and they need to fill space. |
