Hello everyone,

I have a Korean friend that i met through my college in canada who is the co-founder of a small technology company in South Korea. He want's me to work with them in order to develop software targetted towards the international market.

So, I would like to travel to South Korea in order to be able to work at their office with the rest of their company, however I have looked into the VISA situation and, by all accounts, it looks like it is impossible for me to work with the company while being inside of Korea.

I do not have a university degree. Rather, i have a technical college degree from a tech school in my home province. All Visa's having to do with work in Korea seem to stipulate some sort of bachelors degree as a requirement.

Is this true? Is it impossible for me to get some sort of Visa that will allow me to work with this SK technology company, or is it impossible except for teleconferencing from Canada?

Thanks for any advice.

Honestly, marry a Korean.

Without the degree, very tough.

How about an E-7, Particular Occupation?

Quote:
- Certificate of academic degree or certificate of qualification
- Employment contract
- Letter of employment recommendation issued by the head of the relevant central government agency of documents verifying the necessity of employment
- Documents regarding the establishment of a public or private organization
- Letter of personal reference notarized (form 129)

Use the tech school degree and have your friend provide the rest, including a story to the head of the relevant central government agency of documents of how you are essential to developing their software targeted towards the international market.

My friend went to Korean immigration and talked to them.. but they kept saying that I must have a bachelors degree for the E-7. I'm not sure if he just spoke to the wrong person or something, but it perplexes me that Korea would decide NOT to let someone assist one of their own companies to make money that benefits Korea.

Hmm
