During the 1950s and 1960s, when belief in psychological behaviourism was at its height, aversion therapy was used to "cure" homosexuals.

The Aussie tool from the English rag today would agree they can be cured with prayer. See, he "used to be gay" but now he's not. He even has a Korean wife. Therefore, he's cured. QED.

Almost got the gay once. 1 week of intensive bed rest and drinking large amounts of fluids did me well.

Dude, just give it up.

This can't be Spliff. Spliff was actually funny sometimes. Lithium tries way too hard.

From 'The Blank Slate':-

Quote:
Autism, dyslexia, language delay, language impairment, learning disability, left-handedness, major depressions, bipolar illness, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sexual orientation, and many other conditions run in families, are more concordant in identical than in fraternal twins, are better predicted by people's biological relatives than their adoptive relatives, and are poorly predicted by any measurable feature of the environment.

Basically, an identical twin, who shares all your genes, has a better than 50% chance of being gay if you are and vice versa. Genes don't determine everything but homosexuality *is* definitely genetic, as much as any mental condition is.

There is some very good research out there that points to homosexuality/heterosexuality being environmental. You can pretty much blame your mother for being homosexual/heterosexual. It has to due with the amount of estrogen/testosterone that a baby receives during brain growth in the mother's womb.

Also, you are all acting like a person is either homosexual or heterosexual... There is no dividing line. It's more of a bell curve of attraction...

Care to show some of these "research"

An article written last year 2008 seems to point a few holes in the 50% quoted earlier.

hxxp://www.narth.com/docs/whitehead2.html

It talks about the way the twins were recruited.. They were specifically looking for a certain result, thus they found it (with the people that volunteered). In other studies where twins were asked to volunteer for a totally unrelated test.. but were asked about sexual orientation in the middle the percentage was around 30%.

Also, identical twins have identical genes and are influenced by the exact same factors inside the mothers womb (food she eats, amniotic fluid etc). If this is true why wouldn't the instances be closer to 100%. Some would conclude because it is not biological and actually something different. Choice maybe..?

So bobbing bob, what do you think? Cool

I still think you've got no hard evidence it's a choice. Did you look up "false dichotomy" yet? We dealt with this pages ago, please catch up.

What do you mean?

Gays can be cured quite easily. Baste them in honey and hang em' in the smokehouse just as you would a ham.
