So for all the Aussies out there eligible for KRudd's $900, what are you spending it on? I got mine today and it's burning a hole in my bank account!

I want to do the right thing by Oz and spend it there and have something mailed to me here. Does anyone have any ideas? I have vegemite, so no vegemite suggestions please!

Aussies drink Fosters? I thought only Brits drank that piss. It was popular in Canada for a year after Crocodile Dundee was released.

With floods, earthquakes , droughts, fires, shark attacks, maybe you should save that money for insurance.

Don't forget your Baby Eating Dingo insurance. You can probably knock off a few months' coverage with 900$

No Aussie I know drinks Fosters, so I certainly won't be importing any of that. Thanks for all the suggestions though. I was actually hoping for some serious ones (despite the obvious comedic potential Smile ). Really...what are you thinking of spending it on?

I was thinking of buying one of those netbooks that are small and light for travelling. I'm not sure how the cost compares between Oz and here, but including exchange rate, an iPod is a comparable price, so it's probably much of a muchness. Then I can stimulate the Australian economy (even if it's not Australian made), and get something I want.

I want some serious ones, but by all means, keep the funny ones coming. How about a kelpie, an Acubra and a drizabone? I could herd the Seoul crowds in the middle of a summer downpour Cool

How about an Australian "care package" (get some of your mates to pack it for you) consisting of
- lamingtons (the proper ones with jam in the middle);
- a flanno shirt;
- a case of Melbourne Bitter;
- a pair of those cheap blue thongs (no they're not "jandals" or "flip-flops" they're THONGS! get used to it...)
- a 1982 Holden Camira (Dad: Steve, could you move the Camira, I need to get the Torana out so I can get to the Commodore.
Steve: I'll have to get the keys to the Cortina if I'm gonna move that Camira)

That lot shouldn't set you back more than $900 (unless it's a vintage flanno from eBay, that could be expensive...)

HAHAHA...i love it...i was just watching The Castle the other day! My first boyfriend had an 82 Camira! I love it how the Kerrigans had a token Ford as well. Good old Corties.

I'm not that much of a lamingtons fan, but Melbourne Bitter...how did you know?! And thongs, yes thongs. I actually have my havianas here, but I could definitely add to my collection with a blue pair with the Australian flag on it. Actually I can buy those from Tony's in Itaewon I think. I love saying thongs just to see the reaction. Yes, I wear more than one pair of underwear....that makes sense Laughing
