In the next few weeks before it gets too hot, I want to take a Saturday or Sunday and walk along the Han River for a few hours and maybe pack a lunch with me or grab something to eat along the way. Is there a specific stretch of the Han River that would be best to walk along? I would prefer a walking path and nice scenary. Also, which subway stop would be closest to said best stretch. |

I'm more familiar with the west side of the river, due to some time spent in the Mokdong area. Though I haven't been to these parks along Han River, I know there's Sunyoodo, Gang-seo, and Yanghwa. Sunyoodo and Yang-hwa is near Dang-san station on line 2, in fact for Yang-hwa you can walk from the station. For Gang-seo, you need to jump off from Bang-hwa on line 5, and I think there's a local bus that takes you to the park, or walk a bit. |

On the north side of the river is Seoul Forest, and it connects with waterfront walkways of the Han. Seoul Forest in itself is a decent walk. And someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it might also be where they filmed parts of that Water Monster movie. (Kui Mul sp.?)

They're doing heavy construction on the trail right now, you may want to wait a while if you want to see something other than dirt and big, orange construction walls.
