No, I don't blame Canada. But I do wonder how much tube steak this gal had to eat to get her job.

Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo.
In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that "suspected or known terrorists" have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.
All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.
Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: "I can't talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here's the future. The future is we have borders."
Just what does that mean, exactly?
Just a few weeks ago, Ms. Napolitano equated Canada's border to Mexico's, suggesting they deserved the same treatment. Mexico is engulfed in a drug war that left more than 5,000 dead last year, and which is spawning a spillover kidnapping epidemic in Arizona. So many Mexicans enter the United States illegally that a multi-billion-dollar barrier has been built from Texas to California to keep them out.
In Canada, on the other hand, the main problem is congestion resulting from cross-border trade. Not quite the same thing, is it? |

While you are out shopping for that vowel, pick up a consonant, too. |

It must suck to be you. You know, it is a classic case.............constantly pointing out the shortcomings of others in order to hide his/her own.
Shoot away! Because, like someone else here.......you don't have the balls to talk shit to a live person. This is the only way that brings you to a level in which you feel you can measure up.
Cheers.

Our new Secretary of Homeland Security is a real winner. This isn't her first big gaffe in public, either. Notice how we don't read much ridicule from mainstream media pundits about her though since she's one of the Messiah's disciples.
But then some of the most obtuse people I've talked to in recent months on the phone were DHS staff, so maybe she'll fit right in there. |

She does seem dense. Surprising since it seemed that both Cems and Repulicans thought she would be a good choice since she was the governor of a border state and had a lot of experience dealing with the problems along the Mexican border. |

As a Canadian, I can honestly say that I don't care about the border. I have a valid passport so I can go through. If the U.S. wants to build a gate to keep Canadians out, that's up to them. I don't know of anyone who's ever tried to sneak across to the states, though. |
