|
|
Does anyone know how Gepik reimburses the flight money? Is it a check made out to me? The reason I am asking is, I will be paying for my ticket with a credit card and I will be sending the amount charged to my credit card company before I leave. I want to make sure they do not make the check out to the credit card , but have it made out to me.
Thanks |

| I think a previous poster made note that you need to keep your boarding pass, etc. in order to get reimbursed. Someone should chime in with more knowledge. |

Your school should pay you back in the same way that you'll receive your monthly paycheck. They'll send it to your korean bank account. At least that's what mine did. |

| If you have not opened a bank account, you should. Actually you must, I believe, because the school reimburses by direct deposit. I don't know if they would cut checks or not. My school requested my bank account info, my boarding passes and reservation receipt. They credited my account a day before pay day. They used the exchange rate from the day I bought the ticket, which was great because the won was 1556 or something like that, and when I was reimbursed, it was in the 1300s. |

Due the turmoil in financial markets, and the volatility of the Korean Won, GEPIK has decided all flight re-imbursements will be in Gold Bullion.
Teacher's will also no longer be able to claim the cash back from their pensions, and will be given Kimchi instead. |

I could at least melt down the gold and sell them as rings on the street corners of seoul. |
