OKay,

Thinking of buying albums off iTunes and converting the AAC format to MP3 by burning music to CD using iTunes.

I assume the sound quality will be decreased in the conversion but have no idea how much.....anybody know ???

Many thanks

main reason....quality....although iTunes isn't the best either.

second....enjoy my music and don't mind dishing out a little cash.

third....don't have much of a computer brain....don't trust downloading....spyware, viruses whatever.

if i wasn't stuck in korea i'd be buying cd's....but....

If quality is the key factor, don't use iTunes. Eeven their "premium" sales are below CD quality.

Planned on using amazon but can't buy outside usa.

Need a site with a relatively large catalogue.

Any suggestions?

I've used Amazon (US, UK and France) from Korea for 10 years, including DVD's - but not CD's.

Can't download their MP3's outside USA....same for Napster....

It's a mess. Starting to think my options are to ship cd's to korea (highly unlikely) or use piratebay / mininova. What's the difference between the 2 sites?....relatively safe?....

It may be technically lower quality, but the odds are that you would be unable to distinguish that loss in quality.
