Any good/half decent bands playing anywhere in Seoul tonight? I don't really know any of the venues, anywhere that's busy with a good vibe will do.

I'm sure you know that all live music in Korea is in Hongdae.

Unfortunately, this is kind of a weak weekend. For future reference:

Are there ever any decent live bands? I don't know about anyone else but I have absolutely no desire to watch expat cover bands murdering songs that were dreadful to begin with.

It depends on what you like. Korean bands tend to be much more talented than expat bands, and very few are tribute bands, but they enjoy pigeonholing themselves in specific sounds a little too much.

Ole' Stompers on top of hooker hill in Itaewon has good musicians regularly. And no one wants to see players that blow, ex-pat or otherwise. Stompers has more players than posers by far. Tell them bald- headed Mike sent you. And rock on.
Very Happy

Stompers is the best music scene in Itaewon with Saturday night being the big night but Friday can be good as well... Also of note in Iteawon is Woodstock and Rocky Mountain Tavern... All 3 of these places have live music on the weekends but it is hit or miss with the quality and style... The scene in Hongdae can be hit or miss as well but there are certainly allot more options.
