Kiko, do you have dog-training videos on youtube? I was looking up clicker-training and loose-leash techiques, and thought I saw you.
By the way, Cobe's just been spayed, so she's very subdued today, but it's a good opportunity to do some quiet training with her. We've had progress today working on "off" and "heel."
I got two messages asking about her today, which tickled me pink. I'm so happy thinking that Cobe will be established in a stable, permanent home soon. |

so i guess it didn't quite work out- unfortunate and unexpected. i see you had a few messages about her....hopefully you have a backup interested in the dog....? i am still considering but am a little worried about having two dogs (with just me) in my modest-sized apartment, but with two toy-breeds it wouldn't be bad. if you aren't able to help the new owner find the next new owner, i will still consider her........ |

Yes, what a crushing disappointment!
The kind fellow who adopted her discovered that his girlfriend was quite allergic to dogs, and now feels that he needs to choose between the two. Just a really rough situation.
Everyone tells me how adorable she is, but not many people are really able to look after a dog, due to the expat lifestyle.
This dog really needs a break! |

No, she has short hair. She is an absolutely wonderful dog and I would love to keep her if it wasn't for the bad luck with my g/f.
The previous owner had started teaching her some commands and Cobe has learned them quite well. She is very smart and easy to house train.
I might have found a home for her. There is a mother of a lady I know that keeps dogs at her farmhouse in southern Korea. She takes care of stray dogs and currently has 12 of them. I should find out today or tomorrow if she will be taking Cobe. |

It's good to hear that there's been some progress, Sportsguy!
Another lady offered her mother's farmhouse as well, but I had to decline when I heard that Cobe would have to spend the rest of her life on a 3 ft leash, tethered to the house.
By the way, Riverboy, re: shedding-- you can keep her hair short, like a beagle, but if you let it grow it will get more like a cocker spaniel (check the links on the first page of this thread.) Pretty cute either way. |

This lady has a big farm with no house within 2 kilometers. She is a millionare that enjoys helping animals. I am really lucky to have found her, if she does in fact take Cobe. |

not to be a jerk, but that sounds a little too good to be true.
The old "Millionaire farm owner taking the dog"?
I wonder how many kids were told that!
but mostly, this is just for the bump.
(and i hope that is true, its just a little much, no?) |

This woman comes from money. Her hobby is taking care of dogs and it drives her husband insane. She spends more than 2,000,000 won a month just feeding them and getting them medical attention.
She currently has 12 dogs and there is a dog playground there. It really is a cool place, I have seen pictures.
I was skeptical at first, but after talking to her ( I know her daughter ) I felt that she would be the perfect person to take her. Plus this little beagle needs to be in an open space. She is different from a Maltese because Beagles are sport dogs and love to run around. I think that this will be a great match for her. |

I recommend you check out Animal Rescue Korea Pet Travel forums:

Sineface, I do still feel quite attached to Cobe, but it's hard to be a single person with an erratic schedule with a high-energy dog in an apartment. Fostering is the most I can manage, really. |
