hi,
im contemplating living and working in incheon, could someone give me an idea how far away it is from seoul and roughly how long it takes to get between the city centers? i heard it can be done by subway?

That really depends on where you want to go to, Seoul is a big city. You can get on the subway and go to Guro station. I am guessing that is at least 30 minutes. From there, another 20 minutes, 30 if you want to get to the east side.

It will all depend on where exactly you live in incheon.....if you live near Bupyeong or even further in towards seoul on the 1 line it can be as little as 30-45 minutes......If you live in the far reaches of Incheon you could be as much as 2 hours with buses and transfers....I live at the very far end the Incheon subway (Dongmak station) and if I catch the Yongsan Rapid train I can make it in about and hour and fifteen minutes, but that is a really fast time for me. Usually closer to two hours than an hour. I find it too far to travel all the time, and if you want to party in Seoul you have to pay attention to last train times. I don't go to Seoul often. Hope this helps. Post the area you're considering and someone will probably be able to give you some more specific details.
