So far I have been offered 4 jobs in Korea, all for young learners 8-16yrs. While I have some experience with this age group, I would much prefer to teach 18+. Does anyone on here know of job offers for schools catering to these students? If so, please post here or PM me. Thank you.

You could try Pagoda or English Channel. If you want to teach adults be prepared for some pretty crappy split shifts though.

I am quite sure places called (are you ready for this) " Universities" would have students over 18. Maybe the odd smart child might be attending and ruin your day but for the most part you should be safe.

I read alot about Pagoda/English Channel having problems and laying off teachers recently....but this is Daves afterall and the scaremongering is prevalent Wink

Wall Street Institute also is adult teaching only but I believe they're having similar problems to Pagoda.

Usually with WSI and Pagoda the pay is a little less, no housing so you have to find it yourself. You get a housing allowance but it wont get you much in Seoul so you have to dig in to your salary to get a half decent place.

Word on the street is that universities are getting choked with applicants as of late, especially in Seoul and Pusan. If you have your MA and some experience, you might stand a shot, though. You never know.

Check out individual university web sites and keep an eye on Dave's. Also, a lot of universities end up hiring last minute as they drag their feet too long during the hiring process and people wind up taking jobs as they come along. This leaves some universities short right up until the very end of the hiring period or the beginning of the semester.

Hum... I do have MA in English Lit. Thanks for the heartening comments. I check the page everyday for new jobs. Oh, and on that note, what other good websites are there for jobs in Korea? The usuals haven't been helpful.
