So, once again.......you can have the "raping kids" part because that is something you used to tag on me in order marginalize the issue and any opposition people have against what you think.

Jesus..of course I don't think you rape kids. It was a hypothetical to illustrate the fallacy of the 'whatever it takes' or "as far as needed" idea. The weakness of that idea is that the people doing the torturing decide the level of urgency.

You are a torture true believer. You have faith in the idea and no evidence will change your mind. That is sad. |

LOGIC? You people want to talk about logic?
What a bunch of Marys.
First point.
Harsh interrogation methods were used after 9/11 when Bush officials feared another imminent attack.
Second point.
According to Obama's Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, it worked....as he quoted
| Quote: |
| "High Vaule information came from interrogations in which (harsh) methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the Al Qaeda organization that was attacking this country. I do not fault those who made those decisions at that time." |

One vague (what does deeper understanding mean- that could simply be background info) quote from a person whose best interest is served by saying this is not very good evidence.
Do you actually want to debate this issue? Is there a possibility that your opinion could change?
I would answer yes to the second one. And lets not use euphemisms for torture. |

No, tool box. My opinion won't change. When lives are in danger, the last priority is the comfort of the person (people) who wish to do us harm.
By the way, the waterboarding event happened three times, each lasting no more then 40 seconds..........with a doctor standing by.
The interesting is, like you, the far left lashes out with their ideology of hate with anyone who does not agree with their propaganda and agenda.
Once again..........I'm not trying to change your mind, nor will my mind change on the matter.

| If torture doesn't work then why have humans been employing it for thousands of years.? |

because humans like inflicting pain on one another, especially if the other is from an "alien" culture. the most cursory of glances at history will show this to be true. |

As usual, you've got it ass-backwards. Pelosi is part of the mob trying to get indictments, only she works behind the scenes. It would be fair and fitting for her to be held to account if Holder decides to pursue this matter further.
But of course your need to demonize Bush prevents you from seeing what should be as plain as a barn in a cornfield. |

You always have to put a liberal spin on everything. Either she knew or not. What is your answer? |

i'm sure this has been brought up many times before, but i am constantly amused at just how monstrous the perversion has been of the words "liberal" and "conservative". |

The BoyontheRight opined...well, his usual nonsense.
If Pelosi knew and was in a position to do anything to stop it, then yes, she should be held legally accountable. I'm for the Rule of Law, unlike those on the right who seem to defend the Rule of When You Are Wrong, Try To Blame Someone Else. It was bad enough that the last administration was run by chickenhawks, but they are looking ever more like pantywastes.
Whining is not manly, BoyontheRight. "He did it toooooooooo" is what the immature say when caught with their hand in the cookie jar. I predict that in a hundred years there will be a history book some grad student writes called "The Great Whine: How the Chickenhawks Betrayed the Country's Honor and Then Whined About How It Was Somebody Else's Fault When They Were Caught". |

These words have pretty much lost all meaning. When someone starts ranting about either group, my eyes glaze over and they've lost me.
But I suppose one must use such simplistic labels if one is bereft of vocabulary to actually address the issue intelligently. |
