I've already been instructed 3 times, count 'em, 3, to eat 'extra kimchi with every meal' to protect myself from the swine virus...

you may laught at the kimchi instructions but is it any sillier than thinking soup will make you feel better during a cold.

none. i rarely eat kimchi and eat very small portions of rice and never have the soups. They've long concluded I'm a "lost cause" and I'm left alone to my food Very Happy

but my coordinator has a cold, and I told her it's probably the swine flu and she needs to get away from me (jokingly of course).

You know damn well who "they" refers to, jackass.

'tis a bad troll, but I'd like to know if this actually happens to anyone--in a country of 60 million, there's got to be at least one moron who thinks Kimchi will help.

Back when SARS was all the rage, I was told a couple times that it was thanks to kimchi that Korea was SARS-free. And then that sentiment was amplified by all the jokes made on this site making it seem like the belief is more widely held than what may actually be the case.

I noticed that you're not putting cover sheets on your TPS reports. Did you get that memo?

I was actually told this yesterday, about the kimchi saving Korea from SARS. I laughed and got a "no no, it's true".

Whether it's true or not, I'm still not going to eat it!
