This university has just posted an advertisement on eslcafe:

http://www.eslcafe.com/jobs/korea/index.cgi?read=37133

The position is to replace me; I'm quitting because the university allows students to push me (and have told me that I am at fault if a student hits me), and they have forced me to work overtime without pay. They have also threatened to blacklist me at immigration if I leave.

I highly recommend thinking twice before applying for this job.

If you need more info, PM me.

Allows students to physically push you, the instructor? If so, why have students pushed you? Are the students university age, or do you teach younger students as part of an after-school program at the university?

They are university-age. One student pushed me when I told him he can't smoke in the hallway (there are no-smoking signs everywhere). When I told one of the professors in my department, she said "it's your fault for telling him he can't smoke--that was rude".

I should mention that they held my diploma hostage while i applied (until I demanded it back when I arrived); they have held the other teachers' documents hostage for much longer.

Commiserations, like I said on the other board, however, I don't foresee this thread lasting too long as Dave and his slaves might take umbrage with you fuxxing with his revenue stream!
