I'm going to need some sort of step up plug from UK to Korean for the mains as I am taking a few electrical items with me to S Korea. Could someone link me up to one I can buy online. Just so that I don't screw up and get the wrong one! Cheap is good! |

The voltages are the same so you only need a plug adapter.
Bring a powerbar from home (4-6 outlet) and change the wall plug end when you get here.
You can get a new plug from any department store or hardware store. Takes 2 minutes to cut the old plug off and a screwdriver or table knife to screw the wires onto the new plug.
Quick, simple and cheap (about 500 won for a new plug end to put on your power bar). |

I brought German style Schuko plug adapters design for Americans traveling to Germany and they work fine for my notebook and IPOD charger. You can probably get plug adapters designed for Great Brits traveling to places like Germany, Italy, and Spain at a local shop if still at home. Same plug class as Germany

Good suggestion.
For a quick fix, pick one up at your departure airport, there will be racks of travel goodies for sale. |

I know this might be a dumb question, but I'm having a really hard time finding a power adapter to go from American to Korean plug-style. I asked around in a huge Lotte Marte here in Busan, and went to 2 lighting stores, but all anyone had was the adapter going the other way (Korean to American). This is my first day here, so I don't really know my way around, or whether there's an E-Mart or whatever around here. Any suggestions, or do I just need to find an E-Mart? |
