Does anyone know if there is a shop similar to Sally's Beauty Supply in Seoul? I color my own hair and am wondering if about the availability of color and the developing creme in South Korea.
Thanks! |

Honest advice: Don't bother. I get a cut and color for 25,000. If you need hair color, try an Enprani or Body Shop. They're everywhere. But seriously, for that money...get your scalp massaged. |

The price sounds good. I'll probably end up getting my hair colored at a salon then. Thanks! |

I am assuming you're a girl?
Strap is a guy..... if you have long hair, it's probably going to cost you a lot more.
Also - I wouldn't trust Korean hairdressers to know how to dye your hair. I know of many people who come away unhappy with the results. |

Oh yeah, you gotta develop a relationship with a stylist. She knows what I want and don't want the second I walk in the door. Expect a couple of heads of shitty hair. |

If you're getting basic color for gray coverage, then going to any local salon is a good bet. If you are hi-lighting or lightening your hair, then I suggest you shop around and get some recommendations. |

If you want the details of a really good hairdresser in Seoul then PM me. He has coloured my hair from brown to blonde and then recently from blonde to dark red. He speaks English pretty fluently and has lived in the UK and Oz for about 5 years. |

I am a girl. I have shoulder length hair that is also really really thick and curly. I don't need gray coverage, just don't like my natural color. Although I'd rather go back to my natural color than walk around with a crap dye job.

I'll send you a PM as soon as I'm allowed to send PM's.
Still too new, I guess. |

I go to Ewon at Tony & Guy in Apkujong (sp?) in Seoul. I have dark hair with a lot of red in it and I highlight it blonde. Top stylists in the US struggle with my stubborn hair and often make me brassy, but Ewon gives me the most perfect beautiful beige blonde highlights. I heart him.
It's not cheap though! I started going elsewhere for this reason and just refusing to let them wash the bleach out too soon. They'll say, "no, white-AH col-UH", and I say, "yes, good" and check it myself until the color is lifted properly. You have to be proactive with salon haircolor in Korea or you will end up with orange hair. Unless you go to one of the very few European trained stylists and spend a fortune. |

I'm too new to send PMs but I would love contact info for the two hairstylists mentioned in this post.
I am desperate for a haircut and have no idea where to go.
Thanks. |

Hey, Tze, you don't get colored, do you? You've got good skin, but I'm not a judge of hair, I pay people for that.
Happy Childrens' Day, FOLKS! I'm watching television for the first time in FOREVER. |
