| I'd like to go to Panmunjeom with a Korean friend. Is it possible, or are all the tours separated by nationality? |

| When I went on the Panmunjeom tour in 2007 I asked this same question regarding my Korean girlfriend. The answer I got was that Koreans can go to Panmunjeom, but they have to pass a background check to make sure they are not spies or what not. The tour guide said it usually takes about 6 months for the check, and the Korean people will go on their own separate tour. So unless they have changed the rules in the past 2 years, you might be out of luck. |
