I think your best bet is to approach one of the international schools and ask them about their peripatetics. See if anyone of them will teach you - but be prepared to pay $$$.

I am supportive , but you better do it only if you have enough free time, say 2-3 hours a day, I learned guitar and flute when I was in univeristy, it was a lot fun and I was fast leaner, but it was hard to persevere because I spent >10 hours a day to do my own study, the only thing I wanted to do when I went home is sleeping.

Once I didnt practise, I lost all I learned soon..

Two bumps; I'd say you should play the drums.

just sharing: There are classes at the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts. It's right by the Seoul Arts Center (Nambu Bus Terminal station). They have classes in the spring and fall. Only \30,000 for 12 weeks. a friend of mine took lessons on the gayageum.

and thank you, panda, buuuuut.... i dont need to aspire to become a top notch fashion designer if i want to learn how to sew. sometimes it's fun to take a workshop or a class or a couple of lessons to try something new Smile

did you say only W30,000 for 12 weeks? Tell me you made a typo. If it seriously is only 30,000 for 12 weeks then I'm buying a guitar this summer and signing up. Do you have a website?

Well, anyone who clicked on the link can see that the lessons are for traditional Korean instruments, and they'll begin taking applications for their fall classes near the end of August.

They "lease" the instruments, provide traditional costumes, and there's a public recital at the end of the course.

It'll look good on a resume for teaching work in Korea since it indicates interest in Korean culture.

Picking up that ax in 1970 was the smartest thing I've ever done. There's thousands of stories I could tell, but you wouldn't believe em' Wink
