Sorry if this has already been posted...the search isn't working.
If you have a link...please post it.

I have downloaded a movie (spoken language is English) and would like to add Korean subtitles.

How would I do this?

Any advice is welcome

Thanks

What film?

Here's a good Korean subtitles message thread below:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=148266

Subscene.com is also good for finding subtitles. However, for new releases, you've got to wait about 2 weeks before a Korean will translate them. For instance, I had to wait about that long for Revolutionary Road and The Reader.

http://gom.gomtv.com/jmdb/searchCaption.html?key=Mamma+Mia&x=22&y=5

why don't you hook your laptop upto the tv, your lap should have an svideo out

Bit of advice, if you do go this route, make sure it works before hand on what ever tv you are going to use, nothing worse than saying come watch this movie and have to muck around for 10-15min getting it to work

Thanks for reply

I can hook laptop up...but I want to make a DVD if possible.

The link you posted....I presume I need to download Gom player first. The "Gompack" that is on the left....is that the one to download? Will that install Gom player?

Cheers

nope just download the file that matches the name of the one that you have. It will be an smi file. (smi seem to be the standard subtitle files here)

VLC player should be able to handle smi, if not download Subtitle Workshop 2.51

http://www.urusoft.net/download.php?lang=1&id=sw

and save as an srt file.

Hey guys....I'm trying to watch American Psycho with Korean subtitles.

I used the Gom player site above to get the SMI file for subtitile.

I have loaded it onto VLC player but the subtitles are not Korean but just different type forms and figures...can anyone help??

Thanks in advance

your best bet is to download and install gom player. It is on par or better than vlc player anyway. Smile

If you use the Korea version of Gom player, there is an automatic subtitle look-up button near the bottom of the main window.
