About Us
Who We Are
We are a group of private individuals ranging from Students to Professionals from various parts of the world concerned about the rising nationalism in South Korea and how it is being abused by the South Korean government to baselessly attack anything and everything Japanese in order to distract from it's own faults. We are speaking up for what we believe in because we believe it is the right thing to do.

Who We Aren't
We are not Japanese nor are we in any way associated with the Japanese government, or any other group, public or private, that stands to gain or lose in any way by the publishing of this web site. We do not have anything against or hate Korea or Koreans. However find it rather sad that we have to explicitly say so because so many young Koreans today place their entire sense of self-pride on Korea's image to the point that for fear of our lives and the lives of our family we have to place such a disclaimer on this webpage.

Oh please! That has to be the biggest load of tripe. I can't believe anyone would believe something like that. What, are Korean killing teams going to book flights to all corners of the globe to find these people?

It's obviously a pro-Japanese website made by a bunch of Japanese people or foreigners living in Japan. Why else would they care?

(end of Urban Myth's post)

I agree that the netizens are generally a bunch of jackasses on these issues, and death threats are certainly not the way to go.

However, the fact that this group has taken up "Sea Of Japan" as their specific cause indicates pretty clearly that the agenda is not a general critique of Korean nationalism, but rather simply defending Japanese interests in this regard.

With their exaggerated sense of importance("Tell everyone you know"), these guys are basically the mirror image of the Korean netizens, albeit with better English skills.

So in your book, hate speech is not a crime, and its acceptable for millions of people to hold racist attitudes, just so long as they don't actually kill someone?

Either post where I said "hate speech is not a crime and its acceptable for millions of people to hold racist attitudes..." or stop lying about what I said.

And this is particularly ironic coming from someone who wishes the Native Americans were strong enough to push the people of all other skin colors out of America and Canada.

It's true, rapier, it's very true.

An English teacher ought to know the difference between a claim and a question. The question mark (bold mine) indicates that the writer is ASKING if it is the case, not stating it is so, thus no lying is involved.

Carry on.

It's fair, as Japan is the victim of VANK's attacks, more often than not.

If Korea knew what was good for them, they'd petition to change the name of North Korea, to take the word Korea out of it. Being associated with those wingnuts isn't good for them.

I think I'll interpret Urb's defensiveness, failure to clarify and general paranoia.........as guilt.

Since I have never said anything similar to what you implied in your question...I think we all know that it wasn't a honest question...particularly as we can see you've made your mind up without even giving someone the courtesy of a few days to respond.

But as far as that goes an English teacher ought to be able to interpret that stating someone is lying is a pretty clear clarification.

At least I would have thought so, but apparently not...so how's this?

Your claim or question or whatever else you wish to call it, is absolute B.S. That clear enough for you?
