Anyone live there? My recruiter is looking for a job for me there. How does it compare to Busan and how long of a bus ride gets to Busan from there?

The Changwon/Masan is pretty nice- your typical Korean cities. Good bars down in Changwon, esp. Obriens. Only problem is Austin doesnt take the trash out enough.

And by trash I mean the loud, annoying boars who love to dominate their immediate community, even when no one else is impressed. Otherwise it's a pretty good bar. Though i've never seen Canadians go that crazy over chili-cheesefries before! Wink

Its allright actually big feller - It is modern and all mod cons are there - if you got a public school gig in Changwon - I think you would be allright.

I wouldn't live there again mind you - but horses for courses - if you have a Korean wife and a decent place to live - I think it would be pretty nice.

My wife wants to stay in LA, California to run her mother's business there. Maybe we will take a break. So you are saying it sucks for a single person? I'd probably be heading to Busan every weekernd in that case. I really like Busan.

I will be teaching at a hagwon. Just hope ti's better than the last.

I for one prefer IP's to O'Brien's, but that's inconsequential.

Changwon's a nice place to live, period.

You're not that far from Busan or Daegu.

It's nice enough city. I think it would be much more appealing to somebody looking for a nice place to live vs. a nice place to party.

And yes, buses to Busan leave every 10 mins for less than KRW 4,000. If you have any other questions, PM me.

I can appreciate that..... the only downside, the riffraff seems to congregate at each at different times. usually around times when they can get most of the attention to themselves.

Austin does the best he can, it's hard to throw out the trash when it's paying the bills.

I consider myself an IP man but Austin runs a nice joint too. If you want to avoid the riff raff you can always go hide in Kevin's Bar or Westin Bar. Changwon is a nice alternative to the big 5 cities.
