I really want some Hidden Valley Ranch dressing! I live in Busan and haven't seen it anywhere. Is my only chance at getting some by having it shipped from the states or have I just not looked in the right place yet?

The Hannam Supermarket in Seoul did not have it, but the small shop in the front of the building did. 10,000 a bottle, don't remember the brand name.

Ezshopkorea.com carries the "Wishbone" brand ranch dressing usually, but after having a quick look, it is not on the site as of right now.

Might want to check back every so often though. It's not the Hidden Valley brand, but not a bad substitute.

Ranch, best way to get it is to have someone send the mix from the states. Its easily mailed and is easy to make, all you need is milk and mayo and it lasts for like a month or two in the fridge. Hidden Valley mix tastes just like the real thing.

Have someone from home buy the powder Hidden Valley Ranch and mail it to you. Combine it with Mayo or Sour cream and its fantastic.

I think Costco used to have the Hidden Valley powder a couple years ago.

As I recall from my younger days as a cook/prep worker in a pizza restaurant, the original recipe for the dry mix required buttermilk.. You may have a hard time finding buttermilk here in Korea.

However, since it is a recipe, you can use a buttermilk substitute which you can find easily on the web. If I recall, it involved used a bit of vinegar for each cup of regular milk required for the recipe. I'm not sure how that will turn out though.

I would love some hot wings and a cup of ranch dressing now. Let us know what you come across.

It's on a ranch with a big green grass yard full of dandelions back home in the good ol' US of A. Sorry to be such as ass, but it's the truth. This is Korea; a weird and different reality on a desolate rock surround by waters with disputed names and fishing rights that's far removed from home despite trying to, "look," Western. It's hilarious at times, but not so funny other times.

I've had the powdered mix mailed to me. That's the only way to get it that I've found.
