Hi....was wondering what the fellas do about getting a haircut? Is there a place in Itaewon where the barbers speak English.....or someplace else? I'm in Bundang. And no, I know barbershop poles do not indicate the presence of a barbershop |

English speaking barber in Itaewon - Do you know What the Book? There is a tiny, one chair barbershop opposite What the Book right on top of the hill. It's cheap and good - and the barber speaks English well. |

There is a barber in Jeonja(Bundang) that speaks very good English. He lived in England for 4 years. If you want to try him out PM me and I will give you his number. Kinda expensive, 25,000, but the hair wash given by the cute girl in the skirt makes it more then worth it . |

Hi there, my e-mail address is [email protected]. I apparently haven't posted enough to allow me to PM. Thanks very much....and yes, a hair wash by a pretty girl justifies the higher price |

The barber shop I mentioned in Itaewon charges between 5-7,000 won per haircut, depending on how much work you need doing. The place I sometimes go to in Cheonan (where I live), Lee Chard's, is a chain which mainly does women's hair, but they have cute hairdressers and you get a coffee and some kind of wax hand treatment, will run you 10,000 won for a basic men's haircut. I also get my hair cut at the local sauna/jjimjilbang now and again - he does a mean flat-top - and that is also 10,000 won. |

6 or 7 thousand for me, and I always go in with a photo off the internet or from a magazine, showing the style I want. It's straightforward and I've never had a problem even after 4 years. |

Who speaks English? Only a tiny %. And definitely hardly not anyone in the low paying service industries unless it's Itaewon. Do as the previous posters said or just say, "man hair." And you get very short almost military style cut. Better not be any classic Asian bowl cuts going around, becuase that's retarded and outdated. I noticed lots of people do understand much of what I say, but won't reply in English as they're a bit too nervous about what I'll think. Dam people are too uptight, tense, nervous, anxious, and crazy. I wish they'd relax and learn the concept of, "free spirit, we're only human so live and let live." |

I got my haircut in my neighborhood for like 7000won and the hair dresser was very careful to make sure she cut it evenly. It was a good cut. She didn't speak English but just pointing to the clippers and using hand gesture worked fine with me. |
