Has anyone worked at C2 Academy in Jamsil or Gyeonggi-do? The reason I ask is that I am stateside (US) and, due to sheer desperation at the awful job market here, I am considering taking a position with this company in California; it is an all-subject after-school academy. I believe it is US-based, but it has four academies in Gyeonggi-do and Seoul.
Of course, I realize that the business franchise will be run much differently in Korea than stateside, but I am mainly searching for information about the company.
Thanks! |

The hogwons are ALL THE SAME. Not much difference in any of them. ALL of them suck. |

I had a friend who worked there (in Jamsil) and ended up bailing because it was so terrible. They gave him a terrible apartment, worked him way past what his contract stated. He had to badger them for his pay. Apparently they were always in danger of going bankrupt and a teacher quit each week. Stay away.
But the previous poster is right. Hakwons just suck in general. |
