|
|
Guys,
Here's the deal.
I'm currently working with SMOE. I'm not at all dissatisfied w/ the experience (quality school, students, apartment, etc.), but I feel the need to finish up my Korean language studies at Yonsei's KLI. Classes there runs from 9AM-1PM everyday; any work I do will have to start sometime after that.
What's the best way to go about finding a decent hagwon position somewhere within a 30-45 minute subway ride from the Sinchon/Iwha area? How likely is it that I'll find a gig w/ hours starting after 2PM?
Best to go through a recruiter? I was thinking I might not need a recruiter since I'm already in country, but I'm not exactly sure how to go about finding hagwons. There don't seem to be many in Sinchon; I've been told Jongno's full of 'em. Can anyone familiar with the city recommend a few good places to look?
You know my story; you know what I'm looking for...what's the best way to get it? What would you do if you were me?
I appreciate the help; thanks very much. |

There are plenty of jobs starting 2/3-9pm... just look at many of the ads posted....if you want to avoid a recruiter you have to do al the legwork and beat the path with resumes in hand. Try Mokdong....many hagwons there too. If you avoid recruiters you can bargain for a slightly higher salary since you are saving them money by cutting out the middle man.
If you use a recruiter, spell it out to them clearly and tell them you only want to work from 2/3pm onwards. Not that they all listen of course but nevertheless...... |

| If I do this without a recruiter...what do I do? Just walk around w/ a resume and hope to find a good looking spot? |
