The head of the center, identified as Shim, 47, and a manager, identified as Park, 36, who ran the Humana Language Learning Center in the city of Duluth, north of Atlanta, Ga., were charged with forgery of documents and visa scam.....

Hookers, pimps, human traffikers, bear poachers, extortionists, heart surgeons who perform unnecessary heart surgery on healthy people for profit, treasonists, stalkers who collect panties, used toilet paper and bloodied tampons of college girls, and the most prolific single day mass killer in American history at Virginia Tech. These are some of the Koreans who come to my country.

You don't sense a hint of sarcasm in that post? Perhaps a satirical take on the "all English teachers are criminals" mindset?

Georgia, isn't that one of the Hyundai/Kia automobile plant states? I suppose the Koreans thought(were told) they'd more easily blend in there and was cheaper than Nuh Yok, Nuh Yok?

Hagwon's, not just for Canada anymore--welcome to the deep south.

Do I see a business opportunity (void) to fill? You could probably even get a govt grant to open a small business. Then rent an empty store front, throw up a Hagwon sign, sign up new auto worker wives and kids struggling thru immersion classes.

Don't forget to put a copy of your degree and a picture of the President behind the teacher's desk. Flags standing in the corners are always a nice touch. Wink

You racist! These are not criminals. We here in the states just don't understand the Korean way and need to be more culturally understanding and accepting. Us "foreigners" here in the US just don't get it.
