If you are a boxing fan, especially if you remember when Tyson was in his prime, "Tyson" is a must see. But even if you are not, you still may enjoy the movie. Here is what IMDB reported about it:

To gauge what effect "Tyson" would have on audiences, Director James Toback asked the opinions of the film's opposite demographic: older white women who were disinterested in boxing. He asked that they come to his editing suite and watch the film. If they left after 5 minutes, Toback would give them $100 USD. If they stayed after 5 minutes, they would have to stay for the whole picture - and give Toback extensive feedback on the film. According to Toback, not one woman left after 5 minutes, and many were in tears by the film's finale.

Hell, Mike even gives a somewhat plausible reason for biting Holyfield's ear.

Anyone who doesn't like Mike should be raped and have their ear(s) bitten off.
Oh, and be punched repeatedly.
Oh, and shouted abuse at.

A strong endorsement for a film I normally would have scoffed at. It's downloading now, will let everyone know if it's worth watching.

Mike Tyson has always been a great beast to take out of the cage and exploit for shock value!

Those were my sentiments exactly before watching. But it turned out to be almost as good as the last great boxing documentary, "When We Were Kings", about the Ali-Foreman fight, which won the oscar the year it came out. If you have not seen that, check it out.

Check out 'the Thrilla in Manila' too. May be spelled slightly differently...anyway, a couple years old, HBO, regarding the Frazier/ Ali fights, especially the one in Manila.
They interview Imelda Marcos! That sanctimonious old harridan.

I think it's only a month or so old. I heard Joe Frazier on the Howard Stern Show talking about it appearing on HBO. Watched the movie and it was pretty good. Ali doesn't come off looking to good though. Frazier maybe the one living out of his boxing gym, but Ali is half-retarded and as Frazier declared "I did that to him".

You can shit on Tyson all you want. Yes he did some real meat head stunts in his time, but when he was in his prime, he was wrecking opponents in under 3 minutes. Probably the most feared fighter to date!!

Where can I download it? I usually use sopcast for live stuff, and limewire for other.

I'd recommend getting utorrent from utorrent.com (if you don't have a torrent program already), and then you can find all your stuff on piratebay.org or isohunt.com, poet13.
Faster by far than limewire, in my experience.

"Hell, Mike even gives a somewhat plausible reason for biting Holyfield's ear."

I watched it last night. It ended after he got out of jail but didn't talk about Holyfield. So what was his reason?

Are you sure you watched the same one? "Tyson" (2008)

Anyway, when they were showing the footage of both fights, apparently Holyfield kept head butting him and getting away with it. The footage does appear to support this.

In the second fight Tyson just got so frustrated that it was happening again that he got enraged and bit his ear. Definitely not cool, but not premeditated either. After they stopped the fight he was still trying to get at Holyfield.

You don't remember that part? There have been other documentaries on him so that makes me think you may have seen another one.

This is the one I was talking about:
