I'm planning to go back to england to study for a year from october and my korean wife is applying for her settlement visa (initial 2 year one, not indefinite leave to remain one yet). To anyone who has gotten this for their Korean spouse, what documents did you bring? did you run into any problems?
we have bank statements from my korean job
offer letter from uni
family register (ho-jok)(translated into English)
Tenancy agreement in Korea
UK marriage cert
an assortment of photos and emails to prove we have been together for a long time
the only thing we dont seem to have is any proof of address in the UK. i was going to use my permanent address at my mums (uni accom wont be sorted for a while) but how can i prove thats my permanent address?
also does the ho-jok HAVE TO be notarized, or will the offical korean one plus the english translation (sans notarization) do?
any tips from anyone who has applied for the spouse visa would be gratefully received. |

From what I gather you need to get a signed letter from you rMother to confirm that it will be OK for you both to stay there.
On top of this, you will also need a copy of your mum's mortgage certificate.
Best bet is to speak to the Embassy. |
