I want to take a ceramics/pottery class. I'm in the Yongin area, which is at the end of the Bundang line by Seoul. Does anyone know where I can find an adult class (English friendly, is possible!) I work for a hagwan, so would prefer an early afternoon time if possible...
much thanks for any help!!! |

I did a class in Icheon, but it wasn't formal tuition so much as making a pot with the guidance of the potter (all in Korean btw). Were you looking for an afternoon's activity or some kind of ongoing course? |

There is a very skilled English speaking potter who teaches classes in Incheon. Not Icheon.. INCHEON. I know it's a bit far, but if you are interested, I can hook you up. |

He gives classes in the morning. Once a week for a few hours will cost you about 70 thousand won a month. He is located in Songdo, which is about a 40 minute bus ride from Youngin.
I made a couple of coffee cups a platter and a gravy boat. I'm a little busy with other things, but I'd like to go back again.
His name is Young-no and he is a really cool and awesome guy.
Give him a call at 018 500 0767. |

Darn! Weekends might have been possible, but weekdays aren't... unless I quit my job. |

I'll second anything Yong No does as well. We own quite a few of his pieces. He sometimes works as a translator for the international companies so his English is excellent. Not only is his English is excellent, his mindset is VERY Western when it comes to education and other topics. |
