Nicole from Kara, Jessica and Tiffany form Girls Generation.
Kim Ji Suk lived in and went to school in Britain and has an English teaching certificate.

I recently saw a Park Ji Sung interview and his English was pretty good. BoA's English is pretty good now too.

One of the guys from Super Junior is pretty good too.

Its a far cry from 5 year ago, when you'd be hard pressed to name 2 Korean clebrities who could speak English past the level of "Nice to meet you, and you?"

really?

WHICH one?

I've heard/seen their youtube interviews in English and it's clear none is a native speaker, which a gyopo would be.

Ey Jun's (spelling?) English is getting quite good though.

Jessica and Tiffany were born (I think) and raised in California.

Kibum from SuJu's English is decent, but again, he lived in America for a few years.

Tablo from Epik High lived/studied in Canada and America.

Hm... Se7en's English is very good... but he has made his American debut, so it's necessary. Smile

The growing number of English speaking pop stars is making it pretty easy to plan lessons.

Now, I can actually show students video clips of English inteviews. I like to compare and contract the personalities. If you see a Korean interview clip, they are very polite and reserved. In an English interview, you really see their personality come out.

Rain is pretty good at English.
Hyori is getting better, but still needs some work. I'd be more than happy to help her.
G Dragon from BigBang also sings some songs in English, and when he does, he speaks very clearly.

Disclaimer: I work at a girls' high school.

Kim Yu-na (the skater) surprised me by being very competent too.

Sure, she has a canadian coach, but I thought she would talk to him through a translator

Did she go to school in Canada?
