Recently, I got my visa changed by a family member. Does anyone know if I have to leave by the same date I entered with on my E-2 or does that 2 year rule apply as of now?

Curious and confused, help a bro out Laughing

If you are on the F4 visa now, the old visa will expire with no consequence to you, i.e. you don't have to leave the country, since the F4 now takes precedent. I have asked immigration about this and they told me that both visas would remain valid because the E2 is actually in the name of the sponsoring school. I had an E2 and and F2 for a couple of months when I married, and it is not a problem. Since then I have gotten my F5 permanent residency visa. Good luck on your new status and take care.
